What Is The Virus?
What Is The Virus?
That is the question I have been trying to answer for the past five years. What began as a solitary search led me to discover that I am not alone in both my experiences and my wish to know the truth. Others began this research long before me and others still will finish it. I have picked up the threads they left behind, scattered across the internet, and present them on this blog so that someone else may take the next step and connect the next dot. Here is what I know.In late summer of 2015, a select group of individuals began to experience something they could not explain. The first known account took place on August 7 when a high school student named Patricia Fox complained of a sore throat in her journal.
As her symptoms progressed Patricia sarcastically referred to her tormentor as "my friend". But what was it? A plague? An invasion? Witchcraft? An illness? Demonic possession? An infestation? A ghost? Or was it something else? Experiences varied and so did explanations. No one could agree what was going on or why. Did it select at random or was one chosen for a reason?
Henry Rowe called it a virus. Henry was a filmmaker and host of a YouTube channel where he reviewed video equipment. Henry captured strange things around his house. He began documenting his symptoms in September of 2015. What began as a stiff neck and cough became a full blown flu. When Henry saw the doctor, his symptoms went into hiding. But at night the virus would reappear. Henry wanted to know what was happening to him. Where was he going at night? What was he doing? He couldn't remember. Henry was able to get video of numerous sleep walks thanks to a home surveillance system he was testing at the time. He also received strange voicemails late at night and consumed copious amounts of Mountain Dew, a drink he claims to dislike.
What are the symptoms of the virus?
Patients have experienced any, all, or none of these symptoms:
Stiff joints
Coughing
Sneezing
Dark mucus
Locking joints/fingers
Insomnia
Hypersomnia
Unexplained Bruising
Vivid dreams/nightmares
Memory loss,
Bleeding,
Sleepwalking
Food/medication won't digest
Increased yellow 5 consumption
Sleep eating
Sleep writing
Sleep driving
Sleep painting
Other sleep behaviors
How does the virus spread?
Unfortunately, little remains known about the virus. It is believed to be respiratory but it seems to transmit and behave unlike anything we've seen before. For example, the mucus produced behaves in such bizarre ways it's hardly accurate to call it mucus at all. X-Rays show the dark mucus coiled up around the spinal chord. One home video purports to show mucus crawling across a kitchen floor. Some patients say the virus has a mind of its own. Patients describe it as wanting things, making them do things. It remains unclear if the spread of the virus is random or by design.
Who can contract the virus?
The virus does not discriminate. Cases have been documented in children as young as 3 years old and seniors in their 90s.
All those effected had one thing in common: sleepwalking. Sometimes for several hours, returning to their bed before morning, having no memory or knowledge that they got up or went anywhere or did anything. Where did they go? What did they do?
Another popular theory is that there is a trigger mechanism, or several, that awakens the sleepwalkers via their cell phones or through the television.
Holden Slaughter, a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, noticed a pattern in some of his assignments and began working on a story he hoped to sell to Philadelphia Magazine or the New Yorker. The more research Holden did the more he believed it was bigger than an article and that the virus was a book. After finding Henry Rowe's videos Slaughter referred to this phenomena "the virus"
This is about questions that need answers.
My work is unfinished but I'm putting it online for fear I won't complete it in time. Or that I will be stopped. I worked at a sleep disorder center in a city hospital. Staff had noticed patterns with many of the patients they'd been seeing. Strange, concerning patterns regarding sleep and behavior. Many of those patients have since been discharged or transferred to another facility. I'm still gathering information and intent to put all the raw material on this site in hopes others can help uncover things I've missed and connect dots.

About Me
I cannot disclose my name or the hospital where I used to work. Beyond ethical concerns and the fact that I'd certainly lose my license, I remain anonymous for my safety. The dangers are real for myself and others I care about. This blog was setup on a burner account and has been deleted and re-posted several times. Many have sacrificed far greater than me in order to compile the information on this blog. This isn't about me. I am not the "who" of this story. The "who" are people like Henry Rowe, Trisha Fox, and Craig Thurst. This is about questions that need answers.

I have researched this virus extensively, compiling case files on patients from the sleep center and also others I've found through social media. I've done my best to protect the identity of those who didn't publicly disclose their name on their own.
I also include notes I recovered by Dr. B. from the sleep center and other writings and media I've found. I also have included my research notes about sleep science and some of the early connections and conclusions I've drawn.
I must remain anonymous my safety as well as others. I have posted what I know elsewhere online on fake accounts. I hope the right person comes along and sees what I haven't, before it's too late.
